Sculpt the Sea: Holiday Art Club for Ages 11 + Dive into a day of clay and creativity inspired by the stunning underwater sculptures of artist Courtney Mattison! In this fully guided workshop, you’ll explore the beauty and complexity of ocean life while learning a wide range of sculpting techniques. From delicate textures to bold forms, you’ll be shown how to work with air-drying clay to create your own intricate and imaginative marine-inspired sculpture. With complete artistic freedom and expert guidance along the way, you’ll have the chance to experiment, invent, and make something truly unique. What you’ll learn: 🌊 How to take inspiration from coral reefs, sea creatures, and ocean textures 🖐️ A variety of clay techniques—pinching, coiling, carving, and adding detail 🎨 Tips for planning, layering, and building up a complex design 💡 Creative ways to express your own ideas through form and texture 🧼 How to refine and finish your sculpture ready to take home No experience needed—all materials are provided. Just bring your imagination and love for the sea!
